Your child’s progress, under your control.
TypingOne offers private, parent-managed child profiles for typing lessons, tests, games, and practice. This notice explains the information we collect, why we use it, and how you can withdraw permission.
Who operates the service
Family accounts remain unavailable until the operator’s public contact details and permission emails are configured.
Permission before collection
The parent or legal guardian must be at least 18 and use their own confirmed email account. We send this notice and ask for approval. A second confirmation email follows after 24 hours and includes this notice and withdrawal instructions. Confirming that email activates family profiles. We collect no child profile information or child account results before this process is completed. A request to receive a notice is not consent.
What we collect
A color-and-animal nickname chosen by the parent, an animal avatar, a profile identifier, a keyboard theme, and typing results: activity or lesson, date, speed, accuracy, completion, and counts of single missed keys. We do not request a child’s real name, birthday, email, photograph, school, location, or phone number. We do not store the practice passage or arbitrary custom result titles.
Why we use it
To save separate progress across devices, show completed lessons and recent results, help the learner practice missed keys, and remember their keyboard theme. Child profiles start with colors by finger; the learner may choose another theme. Profiles are private to the signed-in family and have no public page, chat, or independent child login.
Service providers and advertising
Supabase processes account authentication and stored profile results. Vercel hosts TypingOne; Cloudflare provides DNS; Resend processes permission emails addressed to the parent. Hosting and database providers process technical request information to deliver and secure the service. These providers support operating the service; child information is not made public, sold, or used for targeted advertising or independent third-party purposes. This family release loads no advertising scripts. No analytics script is included.
Review, export, delete, and withdraw
On the Family page, you can choose a profile, review or export its progress, delete an individual child profile and all its results, or withdraw permission and delete every child profile. Your own adult history stays separate. Parent controls require the parent’s password when opened from a child profile. This is supervised use on a shared signed-in device; do not give children your password or leave unrelated adult account information accessible.
Retention and device storage
Child results stay in page memory while practicing and are saved to the family database. They are not written to persistent browser history caches. A cloud failure may require keeping the page open and retrying Sync; unsaved results are lost if the page closes. The chosen learner and device preferences are remembered on the device. We retain up to 500 results per child for up to one year. Profiles inactive for one year are removed. Uncompleted permission requests expire after 14 days. Used or expired permission tokens and sent email queue records are removed shortly afterward.
Deleting a profile removes its live database results. A device already displaying results clears them when it reconnects; downloaded exports are under your control. Hosting and database backup copies follow the providers’ recovery and retention schedules and are not available through the app.
Contact and changes
Contact the operator above for questions about collection or deletion. You may revoke permission at any time on the Family page. Material changes to this collection or use require an updated notice and renewed permission before affected child profiles continue.
